PEI, made from ULTEM 1010 resin PEI-1010
The hotter, stiffer PEI grade. Tooling and parts that run hotter than 9085 can take.
In plain words
Good for
The hotter, stiffer PEI grade. Tooling and parts that run hotter than 9085 can take.
Not for
Parts that take sharp hits: it stretches very little before it breaks.
Larger orders
A high-temperature plastic we don't print in house. We take it on for larger orders, and the lead time is quoted with the order.
Upright is weaker
A printed part is strongest along its layers (flat, X-Y) and weaker across them (upright, Z). This maker publishes flat numbers only. We turn the part so the load runs along the layers.
The full data sheet
Every number on this page is copied from the filament maker's technical data sheet (TDS Rev 4.0). The PDF has the test methods and print settings.

Test conditions from the data sheet: XY flat specimens, per the TDS. These are lab numbers for test bars, not a working limit for your part. The real limit depends on the load, the time at temperature and the shape, which is why we ask about all three.
