Polyether ether ketone PEEK

Parts that live in heat, hot water and harsh chemicals. The toughest of the high-temperature plastics.

In plain words

Good for

Parts that live in heat, hot water and harsh chemicals. The toughest of the high-temperature plastics.

Not for

Rush jobs. It is not printed in house, so lead time is quoted with the order.

Larger orders

A high-temperature plastic we don't print in house. We take it on for larger orders, and the lead time is quoted with the order.

Upright is weaker

A printed part is strongest along its layers (flat, X-Y) and weaker across them (upright, Z). This maker publishes flat numbers only. We turn the part so the load runs along the layers.

The full data sheet

Every number on this page is copied from the filament maker's technical data sheet (TDS Rev 3.0). The PDF has the test methods and print settings.

Test conditions from the data sheet: XY flat specimens; 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.25 mm layers, 100% infill +/-45 deg, nozzle 380-400 C, bed 130-140 C. These are lab numbers for test bars, not a working limit for your part. The real limit depends on the load, the time at temperature and the shape, which is why we ask about all three.
